What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beach Attendant position at Tahoe Donner Association?
Tahoe Donner Association is looking for fun and personable Beach Attendants to join our Marina/Beach Club operations! The Beach Attendants checks identification of members and guests to the beach and ensures beach is clean, safe, and secure for members and guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides excellent customer service to customers, employees and business partners.
- Maintains a clean environment.
- Rake beaches, picks up trash and throws away garbage as needed.
- Greets each visitor and checks identification to ensure residency before entry to beaches.
- Interprets and enforces all Tahoe Donner rules, regulations and policies as pertaining to facility use; explains rules and regulation to members and guests and answers facility policy questions.
- Assists with rentals and inspections upon rental and rental return.
- Responds to customer complaints or questions and provides assistance as needed. Communicates and escalate issues, as appropriate.
- Monitors weather conditions and advises members of inclement weather.
- Keeps and maintains all records and documentation of work performed.
- Be alert to equipment and facilities to ensure utilization, proper care, and maintenance is adhered to, report repairs or issues to supervisor.
- Utilizes proper safety precautions related to all work performed and adheres to all departmental and Association safety policies.
- Advises supervisor of hazards and corrective actions.

We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Demonstrates excellent communication and “People” skills; Must love dealing with people.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certifications are recommended. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through three to six months of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of formal training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform all of the duties of the position.
