Reports to: TFS Family Resource Center Manager
FLSA Status: Part-time (20-24 hours per week), hourly
Salary: $18.00 to $21.00 hourly (Depending on Experience)

SUMMARY:
The Tahoe Family Solutions Front Desk Receptionist will act as the front-line representative to clients, donors, board members, and visitors that come into the Tahoe Family Solutions offices. They are responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and tidy front lobby area, and will monitor supply needs, and areas of concern in our physical space and alert manager to such issues. Our ideal candidate is passionate about helping children and families, has excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and possesses a thorough understanding of cultural differences and culturally appropriate communication and resources.
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1 year of experience in an office role with a focus on patient/client experience.
- High School diploma or GED strongly preferred
- Proficient computer skills, multitasking abilities, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational, oral and written skills
- Excellent personal, customer service, and telephone skills
- Articulate verbal communicator and active listener with strong emotional acumen
- Reliable and able to show up to work on time, consistently
- Ability to remain calm and professional under stress
- Comfort functioning as our front-line representative and maintaining a positive environment for our clients and visitors
- Successful completion of State of Nevada and FBI background checks
- Spanish language skills are required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors upon arrival, referring them to appropriate staff as necessary.
- Ensure comfort of patients in waiting room and cleanliness throughout the office.
- Retrieve and respond to phone messages, referrals and e-mail, in a quick and timely fashion, referring them to appropriate staff as necessary.
- Provide education, resources and referrals to relevant services and inform about TFS programs and opportunities.
- Conducting confirmation calls, follow-up emails, and post-treatment consultations as requested by program staff.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all TFS services and programs.
- Demonstrate sensitivity, empathy and professionalism with visitors and clients
- Able to work some evening and weekend hours.
- Comply with HIPAA confidentiality and OSHA guidelines.
- Daily cross-coverage of the reception area including answering incoming calls, making appointments, greeting visitors, and ensuring a smooth flow of operation and customer satisfaction.
- Help to maintain a neat and clean waiting area and front office area.
- Some data entry as requested
- Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings
- Provide logistics support and assistance to TFS Fundraising and special events
Assigned job tasks and duties are not limited to the Duties and Responsibilities noted above.
