This position will specifically support our skilled nursing facility with rehab patients and custodial residents

Summary
Under the direct supervision of the manager, the Occupational Therapist (OT) II is responsible for providing patient care services consisting of evaluation and implementation of modalities and treatments in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures and as indicated by licensing agencies in the State of practice (CA/NV).

Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited occupational therapy program, be licensed to practice and pass the National Board of Certification in Occupational
Therapy (NBCOT) exam
2-3 years relevant experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
BLS: Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS certification). - Within 3 months of hire into job

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Organizes and conducts medically prescribed Occupational Therapy services including evaluation and treatment.
- Effectively utilizes appropriate resources to ensure sensitive, personal care to individuals who require occupational therapy services.
- Plans individualized therapy programs for each patient.
- Collaborates with other team members and services in the hospital to assure that services and activities can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the patients.
- Evaluates, records, and reports patient progress.
- Assures that patients and visitors follow established policies and procedures at all times.
- Interprets occupational therapy policies and procedures to patients and family members, as necessary.
- Remains current in Occupational Therapy practices.
- Participates in peer feedback to improve performance of line of service.
- Clinician will practice fiscal responsibility and strive to maintain minimum targeted key performance indicators as set by Director of Therapy and Clinical Manager of department.
- Extends courtesy and consideration to others in interpersonal relationships.
- Demonstrates a professional manner in the workplace at all times.
- Seeks clarification of duties when needed.
- Channels suggestions, feedback, and questions to appropriate personnel.
- Participates in the quality improvement process.
- Establishes good rapport with all team members, patients and other health care providers.
- OT will participate in activities to meet the health needs of people locally, nationally, or globally.

- Complies with System policies and procedures.
- Additional duties may include:
- In collaboration with leadership, therapist will help facilitate and coordinate meetings, record minutes, and reporting for assigned specialty group.
- In collaboration with leadership, therapist will complete tasks for assigned project to support existing service lines of the department. (i.e.- Scheduling, Staff/Student Education and Training, Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement, Compliance, In-services)
- In collaboration with leadership, therapist will assist in development of new service lines, strategic plan initiatives, and/or programs of the department
- In collaboration with leadership, therapist will facilitate training and participate in mentoring, clinical education, and staff performance improvements
