Job Summary:   As a Greenskeeper, you will contribute to the daily preparation and upkeep of the golf course, ensuring the high standards of Tahoe Mountain Resorts are consistently met. The specific responsibilities and required experience will vary based on the Greenskeeper level.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following, with responsibilities increasing with the level:

• Daily course set-up
• Bunker maintenance
• Clean up detail (Greenskeeper 1 & 2)
• Cart path maintenance (Greenskeeper 1 & 2)
• Weedeating and trimming
• Flymowing (Greenskeeper 1)
• Walk mowing greens and tees (Greenskeeper 1 & 2)
• Fill divots (Greenskeeper 1 & 2)
• Topdressing (Greenskeeper 1)
• Shoveling and digging (Greenskeeper 1)
• Pull weeds (Greenskeeper 1)
• Rake pine needles and leaves (Greenskeeper 1 & 2)
• Pick up trash (Greenskeeper 1 & 3)
• Fairway mowing (Greenskeeper 3)
• Blow off greens (Greenskeeper 2)
• Aerification (Greenskeeper 2)
• Surrounds mowing (Greenskeeper 2)
• Triplex mowing (Greenskeeper 2)
• Greens mowing (Greenskeeper 3)
• Tee mowing (Greenskeeper 3)
• Help fertilize and spray pesticides (Greenskeeper 3)
• Help shovel and dig (Greenskeeper 3)
• Set up (Greenskeeper 2)
• Tractor operation (Greenskeeper 2)
• Rough mowing (Greenskeeper 2)
• Blowing off greens (Greenskeeper 2)
• Help train newer employees (Greenskeeper 3)

Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club's operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks, not specifically addressed above.

Reports to: Assistant Superintendents, Superintendents, Director of Golf Courses

Supervises: No supervisory duties are required of this position.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses:

• Greenskeeper 1: Previous greenskeeper experience preferred.
• Greenskeeper 2: Minimum of two seasons of experience on a golf course maintenance crew.
• Greenskeeper 3: Minimum of three years of experience on a golf course maintenance crew.
• Certificates/Licenses: Non-Supervisory Harassment Prevention Training, Workplace Violence Prevention Training, and Assigned Company Safety Awareness Trainings required within the first 30 days of hire.
• Safety Training: Lock down tagout, fire extinguisher, Greenskeeper 3 also requires heat illness training.

Language/Communication:

• Ability to read and speak English or Spanish for instruction and understanding of safety procedures is required.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain open communication with managers and fellow coworkers.
• Must display professional demeanor and communicate in professional language at all times.
