What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kayak Tour Guide Incline Village position at Tahoe Padde Sports?
Our kayak tour guides are part of a team that enjoys the outdoors and working with the public. Candidates must have a CPR certification with other certifications are a plus. Our guides are responsible for ensuring guests have a great time on the water along with sticking to strict safety protocol. Guides will need to set up, switch out kayaks each tour and put gear away depending on shift. There will be paid training.
Guides also switch out to be shuttle drivers occasionally. This means there will be days where the individual can be driving for the duration of the day. It will require checking guests in, setting them up with PFD's and transporting them to location.
Pay range starts at $22/hour DOE plus tips
Guides will have the following responsibilities:
- Need to lift 50 pounds constantly
- Be able to drive company vehicles with trailer (training provided)
- Understand changing conditions on the lake and how to read them
- Ability to do a water rescue
- Be able to work when needed. Extra hours are possible
- Able to work in a fast paced environment that constantly changes
- Work at multiple locations
- Clean driving record
- Take pictures for guests
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
