What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dorm Resident Assistant position at Tahoe Prep Academy?
The position of Residential Assistant involves overseeing all tasks related to the students’ residential experience at the Tahoe Prep Academy. We will provide free room & board for all RA's included in the compensation package. RA's will be required to live on-site in the Tahoe Prep Academy Dorms.
RA's are responsible for cultivating a safe, nurturing, structured and comfortable environment for students. Developing strong relationships with the students is essential to the position. The candidate must be willing to take a proactive and hands-on approach toward working with students to solve problems and conflicts and to offer disciplinary and moral guidance when necessary. In short, RA's are professional parents, expected to offer the same level of care and attention that a good parent would to his or her own child while maintaining a high-level of professionalism and customer service orientated approach in a co-op setting. Candidates are required to live On Campus.
Responsibilities include;
- Oversee daily operations of the residential facility
- Monitor and assist with the academic progress of students
- Create a positive environment and happy home life for students.
- Supervise and coordinate evening and weekend organization and activities
- Teaching Degrees are a huge asset
- Drivers license required and minimum 2 years working with adolescents preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
