SUMMARY:

Tahoma Associates, a non-profit organization supporting the needs of adults with disabilities, is looking for an energetic, flexible and outgoing professional to perform the duties of an Office Administrator and other functions related to daily operations.

The Office Administrator position provides support to the executive and management team in carrying out the mission of the organization as well as performing independent Human Resource activities in the areas of recruiting and hiring, personnel records management, compliance and benefits. Additional duties in Payroll include maintaining complete personnel information and accuracy in the electronic payroll system, processing employee timecards/wages, process taxes and other deductions, complete accounts payable/receivable functions in a timely manner, keep and maintain organized supporting data, respond to inquiries and resolve issues.

Other roles include general office work, answering phones, ordering supplies, website update and other functions as needed for the good of the business. Flexible, open to new tasks and independent thinking are all critical components of this position.

Preference given to applicants with experience using Paylocity, E-Verify, and Indeed. Experience with Microsoft Office products is essential.

  • Ability to communicate professionally, both written and verbally.
  • Proven people skills
  • Valid Washington State Driver License
  • Excellent time management skills and critical thinking skills
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Aptitude to learn new software applications
  • Must be open to new tasks and assist in identifying areas to improve efficiencies
