POSITION SUMMARY:
Tahoma Global Logistics (TGL) is seeking qualified candidates for our Warehouse Manager position at our warehouse facility located in Fife. This position will lead this TGL facility in the pursuit of Warehouse Excellence by promoting a culture of safety, security, and efficient operations in a modern new facility. They will be integral in developing and managing staff and SOP’s that meet high quality standards and promote continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain warehouse procedures, safety/security standards, and a clean and professional facility
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in safe operational condition
- Purchase and manage inventory of packaging materials and supplies
- Assist in preparing and managing budgets for warehouse operations, includes staffing and overtime expenses, equipment procurement and maintenance, and facility repair
- Preform or oversee all aspects of warehouse staffing to meet business demand and ensure appropriate staff certifications
- Onboard newly hired staff, provide comprehensive position and safety training, provide cross training where appropriate, and lead the entire team in warehouse excellence
- Oversee all receiving, shipping, container positioning, and inventory activities following operational standards (OPS) and KPI expectations
- Maintain compliance for all facility certification requirements and government policies
- Manage, prevent, and resolve inventory, over/short/damage, process and customer exceptions
- Contribute wherever possible, for improvements regarding safety, quality, delivery, and cost through continuous improvement methods identify potential areas of risk, and promptly share critical business information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout TGL
- Coordinate effective teamwork and use all company resources efficiently to promote superior financial results for TGL; maintain TGL equipment and assets to maximize return on investment
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships with all employees, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
- Strictly enforce workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses; consistently wear and utilize all required PPE
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard TGL assets at all times
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid WA driver’s license and a good driving record
- 5 years similar warehouse management, team leadership, customer service, security/health/safety implementation, and account management experience
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and technology
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to make intelligent business decisions using effectual mix of analysis, experience, and judgment
- Ability to record, analyze, reconcile, and interpret business data; and enter data into business forms/computer systems
- Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Self-driven and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Good PC and MS Office skills
- Able to maintain a positive work attitude and demeanor in a team environment and set example of excellence and positive attitude for the team
- Culturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and community
- Ability to transport self over multi acre work site of varied terrain and climb in/out of equipment
- Ability to work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to pass background check
Preferred
- 10 years similar work experience with demonstrated progressive leadership roles
- 5 years experience managing transload accounts with multi-DC customer operations, supply chain processes, and general warehouse workflows
- BA/BS degree in related discipline; any industry related education, training or certifications
