Warehouse Quality Control Associate

POSITION SUMMARY:

Tahoma Global Logistics (TGL) is seeking qualified candidates for our Warehouse Quality Control Associate position at our warehouse facility located in Fife. This position is responsible for ensuring all products meet established quality standards and counts before being stored or shipped. This role involves inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments, documenting and resolving quality issues or freight discrepancies, and ensuring the warehouse complies with company standards. Payrate for this position is $26.00 - $30.00 / hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Excellent attendance for all scheduled shifts
• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing freight to ensure count accuracy and compliance with quality standards
• Check for damaged or incorrect items and discrepancies in shipments such as overages or shortages
• Maintain accurate records of quality issues, defective packaging of products, or discrepancies in shipments
• Communicate all concerns to appropriate team(s); work closely with warehouse team and supervisors to address quality concerns and assist in resolving issues
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure all warehouse activity complies with company policies, safety regulations, and standards
• Support training efforts for team members on quality control processes
• Contribute wherever possible, for improvements regarding safety, quality, delivery, and cost through continuous improvement methods identify potential areas of risk, and promptly share critical business information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout TGL
• Coordinate effective teamwork and use all company resources efficiently to promote superior financial results for TGL; maintain TGL equipment and assets to maximize return on investment
• Establish and maintain effective business relationships with all employees, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
• Strictly enforce workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses; consistently wear and utilize all required PPE 
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard TGL assets at all times 

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum      

• 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid WA driver’s license and a good driving record
• Work experience in warehouse operations and/or quality control
• Strong math skills with the ability to count, record, analyze, reconcile, and interpret business data; and enter data into business forms/computer systems
• Familiarity with inventory management systems, warehouse software, and warehouse safety requirements
• Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Self-driven and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Capable of maintaining a positive attitude and fostering strong relationships with the team
• Good PC and MS Office skills
• Culturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and community
• Ability to transport self over multi acre work site of varied terrain and climb in/out of equipment
• Ability to work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays
• Ability to pass background check 

Preferred

• 2 years similar work experience
• Knowledge of transloading, multi-DC customer operations, supply chain processes, and general warehouse workflows
• Any industry related education, training or certifications

We provide drayage services, regional trucking, and transloading of project cargoes from trailer to flatrack, including blocking, bracing, and export packing.
