Here's a Taste Of What You'll Be Doing
- Managing all aspects and resources of multiple capital projects from inception through completion, developing detailed objectives and standards to meet all project deadlines & deliverables, and ensuring that all budgetary guidelines are met. Projects are typically under $1M in value.
- Managing capital appropriation for assigned projects, preparing cost/benefit analysis to justify and support project approvals, and preparing detailed written reports & deliver presentations outlining the status of projects.
- Managing contractor and construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring successful project execution. Working collaboratively with the Operations and Maintenance/Engineering departments to provide technical support in the acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing equipment, to include facilitating disposal of what is obsolete.
- Ensuring that departmental and plant objectives are met in the areas such as Safety, Quality, Sanitation and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
- Developing and implementing process improvement projects to increase productivity, reliability, sustainability, and cost reduction.
- Supporting a High Performance Work (HPW) environment by utilizing a total team approach to process improvements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Industrial preferred).
- Five or more years of project engineering/project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Project engineering experience in the Facilities, food processing, pharmaceutical, and/or chemical processing industry (nice to have).
- Experience managing multiple projects from the evaluation through implementation stages.
- Experience scoping capital projects, managing capital projects to budgets, obtaining equipment specifications, managing schedules, and managing construction activities.
