The Domestic Operations Department is seeking to add to its team. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will handle the entire sample packaging process and sample shipments for the company. You will respond to social media influencers to fulfill sample orders as needed and respond to all customer inquiries via email and social media.
This role can potentially include the following responsibilities:
- Pack sample boxes with productto be shipped to potential and current customers, sales people, and others as requested .
- Schedule shipments and deliveries for the samples
- Manage office inventory of finished goods. Regularly record keeping of inventory in office freezers, and managing the disposal of aged inventory.
- General ERP Data Entry
- Facilitate the shipment of all samples to social media influencers
- Respond to end customer inquiries on email and social channels
- Participation in team-based order fulfillment planning & inventory management
- Troubleshooting any issues
Skills we believe a successful Customer Service Specialist will require:
- Experience in shipping perishable items preferred.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to pack and lift 25-50 lbs boxes frequently in cold storage and freezers
- Authenticity and accountability
- A strong customer service mentality - never leave customer communication, or internal communication, unanswered. Be willing to initiate phone calls to problem solve quickly
- Willingness to learn new skills with short ramp-up periods
- Highly developed organization skills - this is a high task volume, multiple software database-facing role
- Quick Learner with computers
- The ability to pivot - this is a fast-paced environment and the needs of a specific order or problem can change priority rapidly. Being able to change focus quickly is key.
Experience:
- Logistics experience: 1 year (Required)
- A minimum of an A.A. degree required; 4 year degree preferred
You can expect to shadow another member of the Domestic Operations team while onboarding and then gradually work your way up to being responsible for all sample orders. We have a small team that gets a lot done - it's never boring. We will get you trained to work in a team.
In addition to previous work experience within the domestic logistics industry (ideally with LTL & FTL frozen shipping and cold storages), experience with computer systems and data entry including Microsoft Office products is required. You must be comfortable handling frozen food products with allergens including seafood - potentially in or out of retail units. You will need to frequently lift up to 25-50 lbs.
Occasional requirements to work past 5pm are expected, but not a regular occurrence.
Compensation:
- $60,000-$69,000
