Forklift Operator

EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM.

**This is a fast paced position in a face paced warehouse environment where attention to detail is at the utmost importance and communication is key!** Loading our product into trailers, checking paperwork, unloading containers with LARGE and HEAVY pallets of raw materials are carefully inventoried and put away neatly. The right person for this position will be able to handle the many different responsibilities as a material handler and forklift operator. Experience is not necessary, however, a fast learner, organized individual, as well as good communication skills are preferred. Someone that can maneuver around the plant quickly and safely and someone up for a challenge would be ideal to fill this position.
Material Handler

· Complete the forklift checklist on both lifts at the beginning of shift

· Clear staging area and keep organized

· Check all pallets for label prior to wrapping

· Obtain copy of PR and check off each pallet while loading truck

· Load and unload all incoming and outgoing freight in a timely manner

· STRAP ALL LOADS and attach label (DO NOT REMOVE STRAPS)

· Provide pallets, trays, all packing items, etc to the lines as needed

· Check all dock doors and ensure they are locked at end of day

· Wear PPE at all times while on production floor

· Honk horn when in motion and in isle ways

· Check surroundings prior to going forward or backwards on the lift

· Use appropriate speed when driving/loading

· Be careful with finished pallets and do not load or stack recklessly

· Advise Shipping clerk of packing/plant items needed in storage trailer

· Wrap ALL pallets

· Plug in lift at the end of the day to charge

· Water the battery properly

· Apply brake while idling lift

· ALWAYS use the cage when lifting someone up

· ALWAYS wear your seatbelt

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
