Asst. Manager:
We're a small family oriented organization seeking someone willing to take on an atypical management role. What we're looking for is someone that is willing to be in the trenches with the staff. Not just coach and teach, but do it while working side-by-side with them. We need someone that can not only make an awesome martini, but someone that can help the kitchen out when it hits the fan. This is a "no one left behind" kind of company, and we're looking for the type of leader that will never leave one of the staff behind, never let them fail alone, and never let the guest suffer. We need someone with some flexibility to cover open shifts when necessary, work late night, weekends, holidays, and a rotating schedule. If someone gets sick and there's no one to cover, we need you to be there.
Bar Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains inventory.
- Maintains employees’ schedules and scheduling.
- Ensures bar is well-stocked and clean.
- Tracks customer behavior and sales.
- Maintains budget and monitors costs.
- Maintains drink recipe documentation.
- Oversees planning for special events.
- Appropriately delegates tasks to staff.
- Selects and purchases liquor and other supplies.
- Oversees staff, including bartenders and barbacks, and, in some cases, bouncers, wait staff, and/or kitchen staff as well.
- Hires, trains, promotes, and, when necessary, disciplines or fires staff.
- Selects music, books bands, and provides input on décor and marketing, including social media and other forms of publicity.
- Initiates and maintains vendor relationships.
- Uses point-of-sale tracking technology and bar and restaurant management platforms.

- Familiarity with Excel, point-of-sale tracking technology and bar and restaurant management platforms.
