Description
- Responsible for the safety performance of assigned personnel on a Turnaround (TA) during execution.
- Develop detailed work scope activities, with craft type and estimated hours, and plans.
- Assess approved scope to understand the optimal plan to achieve turnaround premises including low cost and safety performance.
- Ensure environmental plan (waste disposal, lead/asbestos abatement, frac tanks, vac trucks, etc.) is developed.
- Create bill of material for assigned work, requisitions material, and ensure all material is delivered before feed out of unit.
- Assemble work packages with detailed information for planning and execution.
- Identify, review, and escalate high-risk activities.
- Prepare logistics plan for assigned area.
- Ensure compliance to plant orders, policies and procedures including, but not limited to Management of Change, quality and addenda processes.
- Work with the TA Controls Manager to develop schedule logic in Primavera to efficiently execute scope of work and resource levels the plan.
- Work with Lead Scheduler to optimize the master schedule.
- Complete estimate of Direct Field Labor hours, overheads, materials, and equipment for assigned area.
- Communicate key issues and risks to the Event Manager.
- Function as the Field Coordinator during execution for at least part of the Platform. In most cases, this role as Block Coordinator will be the Field representative of the TA Event Manager and TA
- Engineer.
- Responsible for update of the schedule for assigned work activities (scheduler will actually input during execution).
- Serve as the Quality Captain for his or her area of responsibility including all aspects of quality – material, flange tightness, completion status.
- Management of turnaround files and records.
- Provides a critique of turnaround activities after completion of project, participates in Lessons Learned and Lookback process.
- Identify opportunities to reduce turnaround scope, and plan and execute with low cost mindset.
- Balance and deliver results in the 5 performance areas of safety, environmental, quality, schedule and cost.
- Deliver results against industry benchmarks in turnaround cost and duration.
- Maintain strong relationship with entire team during times of high energy and stress.
- Work with site experts to develop skill sets for equipment unique to the individual site.
Requirements
• High School Diploma; 5 years field craft experience or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum (5) five years experience executing turnarounds.
- Minimum (5) five years experience planning turnaround work.
- Minimum (1) one year scheduling experience.
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fully proficient in SAP.
- Proven familiarity with Primavera.
- Proven experience supervising and managing crafts preferred.
