Lead GC Contract Safety Advisor – Santa Fe, NM (One Year Project)
The individual in this position is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Clients / Project Health and Safety Programs and Policies. The safety professional will work directly for the GC.
MUST HAVE A DEGREE IN SAFETY - OR - BCSP CERTIFICATION - OR - OSHA 500 (500 and BCSP must be current)
Safety Professionals will typically plan, lead, and direct the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures to site or client supervision.
Job Qualifications
- Must have 5 plus years’ experience in construction safety AND ONE of the following : 1. Degree in safety - OR – 2. BCSP - CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST or STS-C - OR - OSHA 500.
- Must have : OSHA 30 and first aid / cpr. CRP needs to be current.
- Distribution center experience a plus.
- Must be able to conduct daily and weekly safety audits utilizing Pro Core on iPad.
- Ability to walk and be on feet most of the workday.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to enter confined spaces.
- Ability to carry up to 50-pounds of safety / construction related equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment and criminal background check.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional planning, time-management, and follow-through.
- Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to review, analyze and discuss safety / risk information or data.
- Ability to work effectively with a team and independently.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple project tasks and complex situations.
