Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of personal care. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Full time 9-5pm; Part time 12-4pm
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary restrictions
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients
- Provide transportation to doctors appointments, errands, etc.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in personal care or a related field is preferred (in-house extensive training available)
- Knowledge of care practices for different patient populations, such as geriatrics, hospital medicine, medical-surgical, or PICU
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good Driver’s License Record
