We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position requires expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, flooring, door and hardware repairs, snow removal, and basic computer skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and completing repairs to ensure our facilities remain in excellent condition year-round.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, wiring, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, faucets, toilets, and drains.
- Conduct HVAC maintenance and minor repairs, including filter replacements and troubleshooting.
- Perform carpentry work, such as framing, drywall repairs, and cabinet installations.
- Repair and install flooring, including tile, carpet, and vinyl.
- Replace and repair doors, locks, and hardware as needed.
- Perform snow removal duties, including shoveling, salting, and operating snow blowers or plows to maintain safe walkways and parking areas.
- Utilize computer software to document maintenance requests, update work orders, track inventory, and communicate with team members.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with facility upgrades, remodeling, and renovations as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, repair, and snow removal.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, flooring, and general building maintenance.
- Experience with door and hardware replacement and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Skilled in operating power tools, hand tools, and snow removal equipment safely.
- Experience with snow removal, including use of shovels, snow blowers, and salt spreaders.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in work order management software, email, and Microsoft Office (or similar programs).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for interacting with team members and tenants/customers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, flooring, door/hardware repairs, and snow removal.
- Ability to lift up to X lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for snow removal as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts during winter months.
