Job Title: Sewing Machine Operator

Reports To: Department Supervisor
Job Summary:
Operate sewing machines to perform garment sewing operations, such as joining, reinforcing or decorating garment as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Operates the sewing machine in accordance with our procedures
· Control the machine and utilize techniques for safety handling materials
· Replace burred or broken needles and thread the sewing machine as necessary
· Examines final product to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
· Maintains safety awareness in, and around work areas and report potential areas of concern
· Maintain high quality standards, as required
· Performs other duties as required or as instructed.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to stand and/or sit all day and move hands constantly
· Must be able to have good visual skills.
· Light lifting, pushing/pulling are required
· Work near moving parts and high temperatures.
· Occasional overtime are required.
