We currently have an exciting opportunity for Sr Support Network Engineer to join our Tailored Technology team.  This individual will support and manage Tailored Brands' enterprise network. The Engineer will collaborate with third-party providers, implement and support network solutions, and ensure seamless LAN, WAN, and WLAN network connectivity for over 1,000 locations. 

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with partner teams and vendors for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
• Lead third-party vendors in delivering network operation support, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and performance metrics.
• Mentor junior network engineers, providing guidance, training, and technical expertise to foster their development.
• Deploy, configure, and manage network infrastructure across stores, offices, data centers, and colocation sites.
• Implement, and optimize SD-WAN solutions to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.
• Configure and maintain enterprise Wi-Fi solutions, including Aruba or similar platforms, ensuring robust and secure wireless connectivity.
• Proactively monitor, analyze, and resolve network performance issues.
• Provide high-level troubleshooting and support for LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments, including advanced routing and switching.
• Analyze network architectures and recommend improvements to scalability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and operational standards.
• Implement network coding/scripting solutions for automation and efficiency (e.g., Python, Ansible, or equivalent).
• Stay current with emerging networking technologies, particularly SD-WAN, Wi-Fi advancements, and automation tools.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 network support.

What you’ll bring

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or a related field is preferred.
• 8 years of experience in configuring and troubleshooting network routers, switches, firewalls, SDWAN Gateways, and wireless solutions.
• Expertise in SD-WAN technologies, Preferred Aruba SDWAN.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise Wi-Fi solutions, such as Aruba or equivalent.
• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, and IP Routing (OSPF, BGP).
• Proficiency in Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls for policy management, filtering, and operational support.
• Working knowledge network management tools (SolarWinds and Ekahau ) .
• Cisco or Aruba certifications (e.g., CCNP or Aruba ) or equivalent certifications required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage vendor relationships effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts effectively.
• Ability to manage dynamic workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of VMware NSX or other software-defined networking (SDN) solutions.
• Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, or similar).
• Exposure to cloud networking and integration with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

• Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
• Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
• Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from our locations in Houston, TX.
