- Location: 9115 Hague Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46256
- 2nd Shift $17 and 3rd Shift $17.50
Candidate must pass an MVR due to operating Forklifts and Pallet Riders
Support inbound receiving and pick pack operations
- 75% of time spent unloading and staging product in inbound receiving area using a Forklift or Pallet Rider (shipments are received every two hours)
- 25% of time spent labeling and tagging material
- Resources will be trained on unloading trucks, box making, picking, and packing-cross training is essential as resources assist other Roche warehouses
- Possible assistance in other warehouses on the Roche campus transporting packaged hazardous materials (rare, but possible)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Will pick orders out of walk in cooler (there is a rotation may not pick out of cooler daily)
The products that are picked are reagents used in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of diseases. Reagents are a substance or compound that is added to a system in order to bring about a chemical reaction. Roche manufactures diagnostic systems and the reagents that are used in them.
Knowledge/Skills/Attributes (required):
- 1 - 2 years of work experience.
- Basic computer skills with competency using standard software packages (Word and Excel).
- Strong interpersonal skills, proactive, and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- English proficiency required to maintain, ensure, and promote safety requirements and procedures for required machinery.
- Good organizational skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Be able to perform basic math calculations.
- Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Knowledge/Skills/Attributes (preferred):
- Thorough understanding of the principles and applications of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001
- Experience in SAP
- Warehouse/logistics experience
Education
High School Diploma or GED
