Job Description:
- The Product Manager 2 is a key member of the Client Product Management team, supporting the development and enhancement of our Retail Hub platform. This role will help drive innovation through data-driven insights and deliver features and functionality that enable seamless workflows for our internal users and external vendor partners.
- Product Management is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish that, product managers plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure and communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- The Retail Hub team is looking for someone who can support our platform capabilities that enable seamless workflows and data exchange between Nordstrom's internal teams and with our external vendor partners. This individual should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and be comfortable translating business requirements into technical specifications while maintaining a focus on user experience and business outcomes.
A day in the life…
Solid practitioner of the following competencies, requiring some day-to-day management support:
- Support the enhancement of Retail Hub platform as a supporting product owner, collaborating with technology and business partners to define and execute on our strategic roadmap.
- Develop a deep knowledge of system functionality, interaction patterns, and data flows to facilitate effective decision-making.
- Translate epics into user stories with clear business and technical requirements and manage the backlog prioritization process.
- Lead story grooming sessions with engineering partners, defining acceptance criteria and facilitating story point estimation.
- Participate in daily scrums and other agile ceremonies including sprint exit/entry, retrospectives, and demos.
- Monitor progress of key dependencies and identify tradeoffs on scope, resources, and schedule in partnership with the engineering team.
- Own UAT plan and execution, contribute to SIT scenarios, and conduct UX/user story reviews.
- Document launch plans, create training content, and help with user documentation.
- Develop and execute pre/post launch communications and recognize team achievements.
- Measure and track business KPIs to demonstrate the value of implemented features.
- Triage reported issues and user feedback, determining how they should influence prioritization.
- Support incident resolution by measuring customer impact and providing input into resolution strategies.
- Articulate OKRs and hold the team accountable for action items from retrospectives and post-mortems.

- 4-5 years' experience with product management, technology, or e-commerce
- Experience with internal tools or platforms that support business operations
- Familiarity with user experience design principles and user-centered design methodologies
- Understanding of agile software development methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Experience managing DAIR logs and documenting technical requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data to guide decision-making
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
- Experience with retail systems or vendor integrations a plus
- Technical understanding of software development principles and API design concepts
- Ability to build relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams and to support product strategy, roadmap, and execution.
