Job Description:
- The Senior Product Manager, Financial Planning & Forecasting, is responsible for defining and executing a strategic capability roadmap, leading the design and implementation of financial planning solutions using platforms like Anaplan and Oracle Financials, collaborating cross-functionally to develop scalable, data-driven forecasting tools, and leveraging expertise in financial modelling and enterprise planning systems to drive business outcomes, with a requirement of at least six years of product management experience and a relevant degree.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure seamless collaboration with business and technology teams for impactful product deliveries.
- Develop a multi-year product vision, articulating the value proposition and ensuring alignment with company strategy.
- Advocate for product vision across the organization.
- Define the approach to delivering broader product vision while developing success criteria and product value strategies.
- Break down roadmaps into releasable features and prioritize sequencing to support strategic goals.
- Manage and prioritize the feature backlog, considering complexity, impact, and business unit strategy.
- Conduct comprehensive product planning sessions within the domain and across dependencies.
- Lead customer research and synthesize insights to identify relevant product opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, including competitor products, and integrate insights into product roadmaps.
- Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria while influencing across domains.
- Drive progress against deliverables, proactively managing risks and dependencies.
- Define testing strategies and other acceptance criteria requirements.
- Engage cross-functionally to ensure incidents are triaged and resolved effectively.
- Balance short-term deliverables with long-term progress across multiple domains.
- Develop feature timelines and sequencing plans while considering technical and operational constraints.
Required Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in product management.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in process improvement.
- Technical background with an understanding of software development principles, Agile methodologies, and testing practices.
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a product lifecycle successfully.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in Finance or Accounting.
- Practical experience with Anaplan and Oracle Financials.
