Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Manager to develop and lead sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and optimize procurement processes for credit and marketing spend categories. This role is an individual contributor position requiring expertise in contract negotiation, procurement, supplier management, and cost optimization to support company growth and corporate responsibility initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement strategies for credit and marketing categories.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage complex contracts, including Master Professional Services and SaaS agreements.
- Implement procurement best practices to drive cost savings, efficiency, and compliance.
- Lead cross-functional teams and sourcing projects with high complexity.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Communicate and influence effectively across all levels of the organization and with external suppliers.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships, ensuring continuous improvement and optimal performance.
- Analyze procurement trends, industry dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
- Identify and implement cost savings and operational improvement initiatives.
- Utilize procurement and project management tools to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Solve problems independently and make strategic decisions within sourcing categories.
Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management within indirect spend categories (credit or financial services experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of procurement strategies, supplier management, cost modeling, and negotiation techniques.
- Expertise in contracting best practices, procurement legal requirements, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence executive leadership and drive strategic decision-making.
- Experience with Source-to-Pay platforms (e.g., Coupa) preferred.
- Proven ability to structure RFx processes, evaluate proposals, and make vendor selection recommendations.
- Knowledge of contracting trends, vendor performance models, and emerging procurement practices.
