Most new hires start between $17–$19/hr. The upper end of the range is reserved for candidates with 3 years of experience managing off-leash dog groups of at least 8 dogs in a daycare, shelter, or training facility setting.

We are specifically hiring for an individual with hands-on experience managing groups of at least 8 dogs in a daycare, training, boarding, or shelter environment. Front desk or receptionist work at a vet office does not qualify.
We strongly encourage experienced vet assistants or vet techs with dog handling experience to apply—especially those with a strong grasp of canine behavior and comfort working with off-leash groups.

What You’ll Do:
- Manage off-leash playgroups of 5–10 dogs with varying temperaments
- Monitor canine body language and intervene early to prevent escalations
- Perform daily wellness checks and minor first aid when needed (e.g., scratches from play)
- Clean and sanitize play areas, water bowls, and equipment
- Support the team with evaluations, enrichment games, and nap transitions
- Communicate clearly with teammates and report notes to leadership
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of hands-on experience in a team-based dog care environment (e.g., dog daycare, training center, boarding, vet tech assistant, shelter)
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and play styles
- Comfortable managing groups of 8 or more dogs off-leash with confidence and calm
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs, bend/kneel frequently, and work on your feet for 8–9 hour shifts
- Available Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM (1-hour lunch).
