Tails Pet Resort seeks a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Dog Daycare Attendant.
As a Dog Daycare Attendant, you will play a vital role in our guests' overall well-being and happiness. You will supervise and engage with dogs during their stay at our daycare facility, ensuring a safe and fun environment for all.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise dogs in a group setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Engage in playtime activities and provide mental stimulation for dogs.
- Administer medication, if required, according to the provided guidelines.
- Clean and maintain the daycare facility, including play areas, sleeping quarters, and shared spaces.
- Observe and report any changes in dogs' behavior, health, or eating habits to the management.
- Follow established protocols for dog introductions and ensure compatibility among daycare attendees.
- Assist with feeding and providing fresh water to dogs, as instructed.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including attendance and any possible incidents.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and addressing concerns from dog owners.
- Collaborate with the team to create a positive and friendly atmosphere for dogs and their owners.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of dog behavior and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Genuine love for dogs and a passion for their well-being.
- Previous experience working with dogs in a daycare, kennel, or related environment is preferred.
- Understanding of dog behavior, body language, and group dynamics.
- Ability to handle and control dogs of all sizes and breeds.
- Strong observation skills to identify signs of stress, anxiety, or illness in dogs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with dog owners and the team.
