Part-Time Pet Sitter/Dog Walker

Tails Trails n Treats is looking for 2-3 passionate, part-time Pet Care Professionals to join our growing team! We have openings for pet sitters and dog walkers—you can apply for one role or both!

If you adore dogs, cats, and the great outdoors, this is the job for you! Working with us means flexibility, plenty of time with animals, and an active, rewarding workday that brings joy to both you and the pets you care for. We’re expanding to offer even more dog walking and pet sitting services, and we’d love for you to be part of it!

We are looking for part-time staff who have trustworthy and hands on experience caring for pets with provided references, are able to travel within our service area, are willing to commit to at least 6 months of working for us and can undergo a background check and training.

You must drive to appointments and check in and out using our mobile app, and write nice and informative updates with pictures to let clients know how their pets are doing.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A true animal lover who has experience in pet sitting/dog walking
• Someone who is looking for supplemental part-time work
• Has excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Is a self-starter and can work independently
• Is personable - you will need to meet with some clients prior to caring for their animals
• Is within or willing to drive to our service area
• Can think on their feet and has strong problem resolution skills
• Is creative and can craft fun, well-written updates to clients about their pets

Requirements:

• Must adore animals
• Must have reliable transportation and a smartphone
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be willing to learn and use our mobile app to complete services
• Dog walkers must be willing to walk dogs in all types of weather (i.e. rain, snow, heat). We have restrictions and safety measures in place for extreme weather.
• Pet sitters must have the following availability:
• 2 weekends per month
• 2 of the following holidays: Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years
• Please only apply if you can commit to all 12 months of the year (we are not interested in seasonal help)
