Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Microbiologist to join our Quality Control team at Medivant Healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiological testing, laboratory techniques, environmental monitoring, and personnel monitoring, all focused on ensuring the safety and quality of healthcare products. The Microbiologist will be responsible for conducting routine and non-routine microbiological tests, performing environmental and personnel monitoring, identifying pathogens, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role is essential in maintaining the highest quality standards and supporting the production of safe and effective pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples to ensure quality and safety.
- Conduct routine microbiological assays including sterility testing, endotoxin testing, microbial limit testing, environmental monitoring, and personnel monitoring.
- Interpret test results, analyze data, and document findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and relevant regulatory standards.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and perform calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Assist in the development and validation of microbiological testing methods and protocols.
- Participate in investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results and provide support for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to support product development and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of test results and assist with regulatory audits and inspections as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and advancements in microbiological testing technologies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Biology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in microbiological testing, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

- Strong knowledge of microbiological testing methods and laboratory equipment.
- Experience with microbiological techniques such as PCR, ELISA, and sterility testing.
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, FDA, USP, and other regulatory guidelines.
