Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee our marine service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of automotive repair processes. This role is crucial in ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient operations, and the overall success of the service team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Supervise and train service staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Oversee customer interactions, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints effectively.
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance services.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer transactions.
  • Implement and monitor service processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to promote service offerings and drive revenue growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in automotive repair.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in auto service management or a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, including air brake systems, brake repair, and general mechanic skills.
  • Proficiency in auto estimating and familiarity with dealership operations is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to automotive repair are a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independent problem-solving capabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
