Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our client's team in Simi Valley for an on site position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, particularly within substance use/recovery and treatment centers or have worked in a third party billing company and experience working with a smaller company. They will excel in writing appeals, communicating effectively with insurance companies, and demonstrating a proactive, problem-solving approach to ensure accurate and timely medical claim follow-up.
What You'll Do:
- Billing Accuracy: Review and verify the accuracy of billing data, identifying and correcting any errors.
- Claim Submission: Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring all information is complete and correct.
- Claim Follow-Up: Proactively follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe to ensure prompt resolution.
- Software Utilization: Use medical billing software to process and manage claims efficiently, including but not limited to CollaborateMD, Dr. Chrono, and Therapy Notes.
- Appeals Management: Investigate and appeal denied claims, utilizing strong written communication skills to advocate for claim approval.
- Insurance Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with insurance companies regarding claim status and other relevant inquiries.
- Compliance: Ensure all billing practices comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Organizational Excellence: Develop and maintain organizational systems to ensure the smooth operation of billing activities and effective communication across teams.
