About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Test Manager to join the Tait Systems team on a fixed-term basis until 30th December 2026.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Test Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing the overall coverage testing plan for each region in the secure digital land mobile radio communications network (Public Safety Network) across New Zealand. This network will significantly enhance the communications capability of Emergency Services Agencies, contributing to a safer and more connected community.
In this role, your key responsibilities will be:
- Ensuring a drive route for the coverage testing plan is available within the required timeframe.
- Coordinating with the RF team to develop and execute the drive test plan for each region.
- Liaising with stakeholders to agree on the drive route in advance.
- Managing third-party contractors to ensure timely and accurate drive test execution.
- Ensuring resources are available for post-processing of drive routes without delay.
- Continuously improving the test plan by highlighting areas of concern and initiating discussions with stakeholders.
- Escalating any issues or non-conformance areas with recommendations for resolution.
- Managing third-party coverage verification testing drive team contracts.
- Assisting the Acceptance Manager and supporting other team members as needed.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in testing within the telecommunications or technology sector.
You will also bring:
- 5 years of experience in Testing, preferably in the telecommunications or technology sector.
- 5 years of experience working with Mobile/LMR networks.
- Experience with drive testing is highly desirable.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
