PRIMARY FUNCTION :

The Systems Control Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and optimizing the control systems that power our advanced soldermask coating and vertical drying equipment. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and user-friendly systems tailored to our customers' needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Control System Development :

Design and implement control systems for dual-sided soldermask coating and vertical drying equipment.

  • Develop algorithms to manage precision motion control, temperature regulation, and process timing.
  • System Integration :
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate control systems with hardware components such as pumps, sensors, and actuators.

  • Ensure seamless communication between PLCs, HMIs, and other control interfaces.
  • Optimization :
  • Enhance system performance by analyzing data and implementing software or hardware adjustments.

  • Optimize drying cycles and coating processes for consistency and throughput.
  • Programming :
  • Develop and debug PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs using platforms such as Omron, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar systems.

  • Program and fine-tune motion controllers and PID loops for precision.
  • Testing and Validation :
  • Create and execute test plans to validate system functionality, reliability, and safety.

  • Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) with customers.
  • Documentation :
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation, including control logic, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.

  • Troubleshooting and Support :
  • Diagnose and resolve control system issues during development, installation, and operation.

  • Provide remote and onsite support to customers as needed.
  • Compliance and Standards :
  • Ensure all systems meet industry standards and safety regulations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

  • Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.
  • Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators.
  • Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturers instructions and established procedures; and requesting special services.
  • Maintains system and product database by writing computer programs and entering data.
  • Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelors degree in Control Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years experience working in control system design for industrial machinery.
  • Superior computer skills, with solid experience in CAD / SolidWorks programs
  • MS Office : Word and Excel
  • Skills in organizing and managing data
  • WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Occasional weekend or overtime work.
  • Frequent travel, up to 50% of the time.
