This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians. 

  

We are seeking a Director of Sales in the Sioux Falls, SD area. The Director of Sales will oversee and drive the performance of a nationwide team of sales representatives. This individual will be responsible for creating and executing sales strategies, coaching and developing a high-performing team, fostering customer relationships, and ensuring consistent revenue growth across diverse markets. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales leader with a passion for growing teams, traveling extensively, and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.

The Role

  • Grow, lead, mentor, and develop a nationwide team of outdoor sales and door-to-door sales professionals.
  • Design and oversee training programs to enhance sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer interaction skills.
  • Create performance metrics and accountability standards, providing regular coaching and training to elevate team effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement strategies for retaining top-performing sales personnel.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-energy sales culture focused on achievement, integrity, and growth.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive door-to-door sales strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Set clear sales targets and goals for regional and national sales teams.
  • Monitor performance metrics, generate reports, and provide insights to senior leadership regarding team performance, market challenges, and opportunities. 
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing issues proactively and tailoring solutions to meet specific customer needs.
  • Oversee the management of sales territories, ensuring optimal coverage and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for door-to-door sales in various markets.
  • Develop and manage budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with internal teams to align sales efforts with broader company goals.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% to support sales team members, attend key customer meetings, and oversee strategic initiatives.
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in sales leadership, including significant experience managing a team in door-to-door sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field a plus.
  • Proven experience leading large, distributed door-to-door or field sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of direct sales methods, customer acquisition strategies, and field marketing.
  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to adapt strategies based on performance insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing large-scale operations.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support the nationwide team.
