We are seeking a Sr. Manager of Safety and Business Intelligence to join our team in the Minneapolis, MN area. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of data-driven safety analytics and business intelligence solutions across the organization. This role combines technical expertise in data analytics with a strong understanding of safety management principles to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The Role
- Develops and maintains comprehensive PowerBI dashboards that provide real-time insights into safety metrics, operational performance, and business KPIs
- Transforms complex data sets into actionable insights through advanced analytics and visualization techniques
- Ensures data accuracy and consistency across all reporting platforms and departments
- Implements data quality control measures and validation processes
- Evaluates and recommends new tools and technologies to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities
- Designs and implements streamlined processes for data collection and management
- Develops standardized work instructions and documentation for systems and procedures
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives to optimize safety and business intelligence processes
- Partners with operations teams to align data collection methods and ensures consistent reporting
- Coordinates with support services to standardize data points and metrics across departments
- Builds strong relationships with contractors and business partners to facilitate data sharing and reporting
- Works closely with the contracts group to maintain accurate tracking of contractor performance metrics
- Develops and maintains consolidated dashboards tracking leading safety indicators
- Oversees the collection and analysis of critical safety data, including: work hours and labor metrics, safety incidents and near-misses, safety inspections and audit results, and training compliance rates
- Generates regular reports on safety performance trends and metrics
- Establishes and documents roles and responsibilities for safety and business intelligence programs
- Creates and maintains standard operating procedures for data management systems
- Monitors program effectiveness and implements improvements as needed
- Ensures compliance with safety reporting requirements and standards
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in safety analytics, business intelligence, or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Safety Management, or related field preferred
- Advanced proficiency in PowerBI and data visualization tools a plus
- Strong understanding of safety management principles and metrics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in process improvement and program management
- Professional certifications in safety management or data analytics
- Experience with additional BI tools and programming languages
- Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data manipulation capabilities
- Project management expertise
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid driver’s license
- Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
