Job Summary:
The Commercial/Industrial Construction Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the operations of our commercial and industrial construction projects. This role requires an in-depth understanding of construction processes, with a focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. While the position will primarily focus on commercial and industrial projects, familiarity with civil construction practices is also valuable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the operational activities of commercial and industrial construction projects.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure that projects are aligned with company objectives, including quality, safety, environmental considerations, and financial targets.
- Maintain and build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and enhance project performance.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks and delays.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies throughout all project phases.
- Support the development and implementation of training programs in Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, and Continual Improvement.
- Assist with incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring corrective actions are effectively executed.
- Ensure that all company operating procedures and documents meet the requirements of global standards and contractual obligations.
- Represent the company in quality-related matters for commercial and industrial operations.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and strong relationships with key personnel.
- Provide regular reports on project status and performance to senior management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of commercial, and industrial construction processes, including vertical and steel structures.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of safety policies and regulations, with a commitment to enforcing safety-first practices.
- Ability to lead by example and foster a culture of safety and excellence.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in commercial/industrial construction.
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience (steel & vertical construction), with previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Bilingual in Korean is preferred but not required.
Work Environment: This position involves both office work and field visits, with travel required depending on project needs.
