Take 5 Oil Change is one of the fastest growing companies in the Quick Lube market. Started with an innovative business model as a regional brand in New Orleans, LA. They have quickly expanded to 1000 locations in 40 markets across the United States through a combination of organic and inorganic growth company-owned and franchise growth. It is vital that every customer that visits their store location leaves with a smile.

Summary: The purpose of the Store Manager is to ensure that the store location, under your supervision, is following company policies and procedures. The Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day facilitating & the supervision of the operations at each store, to ensure team members work together to deliver excellent service. Taking care of the customer is the Store Manager's number one priority. This is a hands-on position where you will be working on the shop floor and in the pits with your techs daily, some days, it will be a large part of your day.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Team training: The Store Manager is responsible for training the Team and developing all team members through testing and training. It is also important that the Store Manager develops proper communication with the District Manager and other Store Managers for problem solving.

Inspection: The Store Manager is responsible for inspecting the premises at frequent intervals to ensure the following: equipment is in good working order, facility appearance, inventory properly stocked and landscaping well-maintained. You will also seek ways to promote the store, the service, and the products to increase growth.

Directing the team's activities: The Store Manager will prepare the work schedules, assign work positions, conduct opening and closing procedures, direct cleaning, landscaping, maintenance, and overall upkeep.

You will supervise, train, and assist team members in their day-to-day operations to reach their full potential. Reinforce company policies and processes to ensure compliance and safety standards are consistently achieved within industry standards.

Reporting: The Store Manager performs the following tasks: completes daily paperwork, maintains an accurate and effective inventory, creates, updates and maintains employee files.

Qualifications:

  • Outgoing and positive attitude.
  • Motivated, energetic, and customer-focused approach.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Intermediate computer skills required. Previous & proficient point of sale system experience is a HUGE plus.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must pass and obtain county issued Vehicle Emission's certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changes in day-to-day personnel or business expectations.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • 2 years of retail or restaurant management experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Requires getting in and out of shallow pit for oil changes.
  • While on the job, employees must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Requires use of hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.

Job Type: Full-time, Onsite

  • Typical manager schedule is Tuesday to Saturday & 50 hours

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 base per year up to $20K annual bonuses (paid quarterly)

  • Below are a couple responsibilities of a Store Manager at Take 5 Oil Change:

1. Work on the shop floor as much as 80%-90% of the time (including, but not limited to) helping with the oil changes, working in the 3' shallow pits, and speaking w/ customers). This varies by location and staffing needs.
2. Able to work any day of the week (typically Tuesdays through Saturday), 50 hours per week, and covering other times as needed) - We are open 7 days a week
