Summary
The primary role of this position is to support the inventory and delivery functions of the store by conducting route deliveries twice a week and inventory support when they are not on a route. The Route Support Driver is responsible for tire delivery and pickup, which involves strong customer and vendor relationship skills and keeping accurate inventory counts, which requires strong organizational skills. We aim to provide efficient and comprehensive service that meets all quality and safety requirements and work as a team to present a positive customer experience. All work provided must follow company policies, procedures, and industry best practices, and no employee should attempt to do any work for which they have not been trained.
Essential Functions
- Route delivery and pickups between stores and vendors in Oklahoma at least twice a week.
- Load the delivery truck, unload any pickups, and respond to occasional short runs.
- Pre- and post-trip inspection of the delivery vehicle, maintenance when necessary, and notification of issues so that they can be addressed in a timely manner.
- Drive the route safely and responsibly, complying with all applicable company policies and federal / state safety requirements.
- Communicate with contacts on route stops in a manner that supports the sales functions of the store, represents our company in a good light, and showcases our eagerness to provide a positive experience.
- Perform inventory support functions in the store whenever there is no route to run. Exhibit a passion for accurate numbers and clean spaces as a part of the inventory and sales team.
- Notify sales and management when inventory numbers are low or if excess inventory may need to be dispersed.
- Maintain a clean driving record and current license status, including CDL requirements.
- Contribute to the cleanliness and readiness of the store and vehicles at all times.
- Comply with company safety policy and federal / state OSHA safety requirements, including but not limited to wearing approved eye / ear protection, proper lifting techniques, and proper footwear.
- Attend meetings as required and take advantage of additional training offered that applies to this position.

Work Environment
This position requires frequent lifting over 80 pounds, loading, stooping, standing, and bending. It also requires driving for long periods, with stops and deliveries. The shop environment is also challenging, with varying temperatures and exposure to grease and engine fluids.
