This position's primary role is to support all levels of tire service for our customers. This entry-level role will allow Tire Tech to train in additional skills to qualify for a Tire Tech II position eventually. The Tire Tech I position is a support role that provides general service and support as assigned. All work must follow company policies, procedures, and industry best practices, and no employees should attempt to do any work for which they are not trained.
Essential Functions
- Mount, balance, rotate, and repair all types of tires, from passenger cars to large trucks. Large truck tires are available only after completing TIA CTS certification.
- Check for needed additional service.
- Drive to deliver and pick up merchandise and move customer's vehicles.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service truck in efficient operating condition, keeping it clean inside and out.
- Unload, load, stock inventory and related items as required and assist with physical inventory.
- Operate a forklift, depending on the facility and only after receiving certification.
- Sweep floors, clean restrooms, and perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Make yourself available for and complete all required and additional training the Company offers.
- Attend meetings held by the Store Service Manager.
- Process all necessary paperwork promptly.
- Observe all safety rules and procedures associated with the performance of duties.
- Use personal protective equipment according to regulations and policies.
- Assist with special projects as requested.
