About the Role:
As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of all processes in production while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations which could apply. This includes fully participating in both departmental projects and any quality working teams which may be applicable.
Under the overall direction of the supervisor, this position shall be responsible for the hands on execution of all activities in the production area. In addition to being fully accountable and involved in all production processes, he/she may problem solve in other functional areas. The incumbent acts as a delegate to the supervisor and may conduct departmental activities in their absence. He/She fully understands the regulations and may make recommendations according to their interpretations. He/She is responsible for the successful transfer of new processes/methodologies into the manufacturing area.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and execute process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues impacting production.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on GMP procedures and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch data and quality metrics.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and excellence in manufacturing.
- Represent the production team in cross-functional meetings and committees.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including supply chain partners and customers.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must possess a strong background in manufacturing operations and excellent leadership skills. A bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of relevant experience are preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with clean room and controlled environment procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and other software applications.
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as manufacturing, engineering, or chemistry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
- Strong understanding of cGMP regulations and quality control principles.
