Job Description
The Procurement, Senior Manager is responsible for obtaining goods and services for various business processes within the organization. This role focuses on product/service sourcing, supplier selection, pricing/terms negotiation, order processing, contract administration, and supplier performance management. By managing complex procurement projects and mentoring junior staff, this role supports Takeda's mission of delivering better health and a brighter future.
OBJECTIVES:
As our successful Strategic Procurement Manager (SPM) for Clinical Development/Indirect categories, you will:
Plan and lead category initiatives for Global Medical, Global Product & Launch Strategy, and Marketing & Commercial Excellence functions and will develop and implement regional category strategies for respective spend categories as part of the wider Category Strategy.
Lead proactive category projects to support the delivery of regional procurement targets, spanning sourcing projects, demand management and process re-engineering to support the delivery of regional procurement targets, as well as supporting region-specific supplier performance and innovation activities.
Provide regional input to Global category strategies
As our primary Business Partner (SPOC) for Global Medical, you will:
Ensure "Global Real Estate, Facilities and Procurement" (GREFP) activities at Global Medical are aligned to region and category team planning. You will develop and implement specific strategies in those categories not supported by Global teams.
Be responsible for ensuring that high-quality end to end user service delivery is achieved by understanding Global Medical needs and calling on the appropriate resources within GREFP team to support this. This will be a critical on-site liaison to link Category teams, TBS, Real Estate, Facilities and Security teams and the Global Medical to ensure successful implementations.
Provides regional input to Global category strategies.
Accountable for the GREFP targets delivery in Global Medical (Savings, DPO, Compliance, and other key indicators).
Develop a pipeline of both category and functional initiatives and opportunities to meet targets
Monitor progress of GREFP activities in Global Medical to provide regular updates to his/her business partners
Work with TBS to ensure end-user requirements are translated into efficient sourcing activity
Collaborate with CoE to support a robust approach to SP&I, systems and tools
Drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance and improving efficiencies and effectiveness.
Establish strong relationships with key business partners and be the single point of contact for senior stakeholders in Global Medical while working closely with category managers, CoEs and TBS
Understand the challenges of the organization and awareness of Takeda’s future direction and business challenges to successfully adapting the appropriate strategies, structure and approach to cost-effectively support the evolving needs.
Create a culture of compliance internally and externally where everyone abides by Takeda’s Global Code of Conduct and Supplier Code of Conduct.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Experience: 10 years of relevant procurement experience
Essential qualifications:
Good organizational skills and ability to deal with competing priorities
Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation in English and local language)
Creative thinker, curious and unafraid to ask questions
Innovator, willing to initiate changes, introduce new ideas, and creatively problem solve
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
