Armed Security Officer (Part-Time)

Job Description:

TakePoint Private Security is seeking a highly professional, independent, and vigilant Armed Security Officer to protect a family-centered establishment that serves primarily children, teenagers, and young adults. This role demands exceptional situational awareness, continuous patrols, and the ability to de-escalate and manage situations calmly and respectfully.

Primary Duties:

• Actively patrol and monitor designated areas on foot; remain continuously on the move.
• Identify and respond quickly to disturbances, disagreements, or large gatherings of youth.
• Independently de-escalate conflicts or concerns without hesitation while maintaining professionalism.
• Enforce all site rules and policies as directed by venue management.
• Serve as a visible and approachable deterrent while upholding a calm and respectful presence.
• Maintain strong communication with site leadership and TakePoint supervisors, promptly reporting any incidents or concerns.

Work Schedule:

• Every Saturday and Sunday
• Shifts range from 5 to 8 hours per day
• Must be flexible to accommodate occasional schedule adjustments based on operational needs as other special events will also go on from time to time.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Florida Class D (Unarmed) and Class G (Armed) Security Licenses.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience a plus (especially with youth/family environments).
• Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent judgment, professionalism, and verbal de-escalation skills.
• Physically able to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working at youth centers, amusement parks, schools, or family entertainment venues, excellent and experience working with young adults.
• Certification in conflict resolution, de-escalation, or crisis intervention is a plus.

PAY IS $23-$26.00 depend, depending on experience and qualifications in which the officer will be paid within three days of each weekly shift, which is Sunday.
