Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Team Leader for our Quality Department with a strong focus on training and developing associates. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the success and efficiency of the quality team by providing leadership, training, and performance feedback to team members. The Team Leader will assist with the daily operations and contribute to the overall success of our quality processes, ensuring that our products meet and exceed customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Develop Team: Guide and support the team by communicating goals, deadlines, and expectations to ensure alignment with departmental objectives.
- Training and Development: Focus on training new associates and providing ongoing education for current team members to enhance their skills and performance in quality control tasks.
- Task Delegation: Organize and assign daily tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of time and resources to meet quality standards.
- Performance Monitoring and Feedback: Assess team performance, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to help associates improve their performance and reach their potential.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all team members follow proper quality assurance procedures and company policies. Monitor the quality of work and make adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to communicate process changes, new programs, and policy updates to ensure consistency in operations.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying and resolving any quality issues or challenges that arise within the team or across processes.
- Process Improvement: Continuously strive for improvement in quality procedures and team efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the department
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional training or certifications in Quality Control, Lean Manufacturing, or related fields is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality or assembly-related role, with a proven track record of mentoring or training team members.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Training Focus: Experience in effectively training associates, with the ability to create educational materials, lead workshops, and assess learning progress.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of issues and develop practical solutions.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and other departments effectively.
• Technical Proficiency: Capable of interpreting charts, reports, and quality records. Able to operate and troubleshoot equipment related to quality control.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and focus on maintaining quality standards.
• Safety Compliance: Strong commitment to workplace safety, adhering to safety standards and utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as required to meet operational needs.
