Takeuchi continues to provide products that meet the needs of today’s contractors, and our dedication is evident by the care we take to prepare machines for shipment in our Pendergrass, Georgia, distribution center. We seek a highly motivated, detail-oriented person to join our outstanding machine logistics team. You will oversee the timely, receipt and shipment of excavators, wheel loaders, and track loaders to our North American dealer network.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and execution:
- Collaborate with the Machine Warehouse Operations Supervisor to create and implement the daily shipping and receiving plan.
- Verify machines arrive in working order and report any mechanical or cosmetic issues to the Service team.
- Develop warehouse storage plans to maximize space and efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of incoming containers and roll-on/roll-off shipments.
- Verify that prep matches dealer orders and Bills of Lading for outgoing shipments.
- Report any discrepancies to the Inside Sales team to resolve.
Quality Control and Safety:
- Enforce all company safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for the team.
- Inspect arriving equipment for any cosmetic or mechanical issues before releasing them to the prep team.
- Review prep team installations for accuracy and quality before releasing machines to the trucking company.
- Regularly inspect workstations and enforce daily standards for clean work areas.
Leadership and Training:
- Provide guidance, support, and direction to ensure efficient workflow.
- Train employees in company policies and procedures for correctly operating equipment.
- Conduct ongoing training to improve team members’ technical skills and efficiency.
- Suggest and implement best practices to improve productivity and accuracy while reducing loading and unloading times.
Physical Demands:
- Moderate to heavy physical effort is required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, and reaching both forward and above head level.
- Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift to 50 pounds.
- Safely operate machinery with no accommodations.
- Must be able to stand and work for long periods.
- Must be able to work at varying temperatures.
- Must have some mechanical experience.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Two years of distribution center experience preferred.
- Prior forklift experience is preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and Adobe, preferred.
