Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers, ensuring accurate comparison against supplier counts and timely reporting of discrepancies to relevant parties.
- Safely operate mobile equipment for unloading and transporting received goods.
- Understand and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures at all times.
- Maintain high performance standards while performing job functions.
- Embody the highest standards of quality and accuracy in work performed.
- Work safely, adhering to all Takeuchi Safety rules and procedures.
- Accurately sort, count, stock, and verify items received.
- Move shipments to designated staging areas.
- Assist with physical inventories.
Requirements:
- A state motor vehicle operator's permit for forklift operation is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficient reading skills are essential.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Six months of distribution center experience is preferable.
Physical Demands:
The role demands moderate to heavy physical effort, including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and coarse manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level.
Individuals must be capable of pushing, pulling, and/or lifting up to 50 pounds and safely operating assigned machinery.
Prolonged periods of standing and working in varying temperatures are also requirements of this position.
