PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
We’re looking for a visionary Art Director to elevate and execute our brand’s creative expression across all platforms, with a strong focus on digital and social media excellence. Reporting to the Creative Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming strategic brand vision into compelling visual storytelling. With your hands-on design expertise and creative leadership, you’ll ensure every asset aligns seamlessly with our premium, performance-driven positioning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creative Implementation
- Execute the visual brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing and product assets.
- Implement creative direction for marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand storytelling.
- Support brand evolution, keeping design fresh, competitive, and ahead of industry trends.
- Ensure all creative—digital, print, packaging, and social media—meets the highest standard of brand excellence.
Project Management of Creative
- Develop brand “toolkits” that combine all brand marketing materials, including digital ads, website assets, email campaigns, and social content ahead of launch.
- Collaborate with social media and marketing teams to produce high-impact organic and paid content that balances storytelling and performance-driven design.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance content for digital platforms, including but not limited to editing, animation, and correction.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring efficiency while maintaining brand standards.
Photo & Video Direction
- Execute photo and video shoots based on approved creative briefs and direction.
- Collaborate with external production teams to craft premium-quality, brand-aligned visual content.
- Oversee post-production, ensuring that editing, color grading, and visual effects match the brand’s aesthetic.
Managing External Agencies & Freelancers
- Work with external creative partners under the guidance of the Creative Manager.
- Provide clear, strategic creative briefs to ensure a seamless and unified brand experience.
- Review and approve outsourced creative work, ensuring it aligns with brand standards and campaign objectives.
Innovation & Industry Trend Monitoring
- Stay ahead of design trends, social media creative formats, and digital marketing innovations to keep Takeya & ThermoFlask visually cutting-edge.
- Propose new storytelling techniques that align with the established brand direction.
- Leverage data, consumer insights, and marketing performance to continuously refine creative strategies.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of experience in Art Direction, Brand Creative, or a related role in CPG, eCommerce, or retail.
- Bachelor’s degree in art, design, or equivalent related experience (preferred).
- A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in brand design, campaign development, packaging, and digital/social content.
- Proficiency in necessary tools, including Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with After Effects or Premiere Pro is a plus.
- Hands-on experience directing photoshoots and video productions, with a keen eye for composition, storytelling, and branding.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to work late evenings or early mornings when needed.
- Ability to travel to up to 15% for creative inspiration and market research at core events and photo shoots.
