Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Child Care Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children. You will engage with children through play-based learning activities and ensure that each child receives the individual attention they need to thrive.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging curiosity, exploration, and creativity among children.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas including social skills, language development, and motor skills.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Maintain effective classroom management to create a structured yet flexible learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is essential.
- Experience in daycare settings or special education is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and strategies for engaging young learners.
- Previous experience in toddler care, babysitting, or nannying is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
