The IT Administrator is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing the organization's IT environment to ensure smooth and secure operations. This role involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to support business needs. The IT Administrator will work with IT team members to efficiently deploy and maintain computer equipment (Intune), optimize network resources, improve the user experience, maintain server resources, provide reliable connectivity, and assist with maintaining and advancing our cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
Laptops, Tablets, Phones
- Configure, deploy, and manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
- Develop and enforce security policies, compliance rules, and device configurations across the organization.
- Oversee the enrollment of devices into Intune, ensuring a seamless and secure process for users.
- Process automation using PowerShell.
Network Maintenance and Support
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance, ensure uptime, and proactively address potential bottlenecks or issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network problems to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Security and Compliance
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular security audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Monitor potential security breaches and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
Upgrades and Optimization
- Plan and execute network upgrades to improve performance and support organizational growth.
- Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and hardware/software inventory.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work with other IT team members to ensure integration of systems and smooth operations.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network-related issues.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement and issue resolution.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Utilize network monitoring tools to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
- Generate reports on network usage, performance metrics, and security incidents for management review.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience with Intune administration and Azure Administration.
- Technical Skills
- Experience with managing Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
- Proficiency in managing network systems, including LAN, WAN, and WLAN.
- Hands-on experience with SonicWALL, Aruba, and Unifi network hardware.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and BGP.
- Familiarity with firewall configurations, VPN setups, and wireless technologies.
- Experience with network monitoring tools including Wireshark and PRTG.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements
