As part of the integrated healthcare system, you'll have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that fosters collaboration, professional development, and the well-being of both patients and staff. The General Psychiatrist will provide inpatient psychiatric care for adults in a 24-bed unit. The position is Monday through Friday, from 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with one night call and one weekend call per month. This is an inpatient-only position, and the psychiatrist will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive mental health services to patients in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care to adult patients in the 24-bed unit.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment as necessary, and provide ongoing support.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Provide psychiatric assessments and consultations as needed for medical and surgical units.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and families on psychiatric conditions and treatment options.
- Participate in on-call coverage as required (one night call and one weekend call per month).
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive medical records.
