Our client, a provider of primary and preventive healthcare services that meets patients in their own neighborhoods, is seeking a Regional Administrative Director . The  Regional Administrative Director  will oversee the day-to-day operations of Ambulatory Services. Reporting to the Regional Medical Director and serving as a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Administrator will manage all administrative, operational, and financial aspects of the practices under the Ambulatory Services umbrella. The Administrator will be responsible for developing policies and procedures aligned with the organization's goals and will serve as a central decision-maker, fostering collaboration between clinical and administrative teams. This role ensures that daily operations meet clinical, patient satisfaction, financial, and employee satisfaction goals while maintaining productivity in accordance with HRSA guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities :

Finance and Budget :

Assist in developing the operating budget for Personnel Services (PS) and Other Than Personnel Services (OTPS).

Monitor monthly budget variances and take corrective actions as needed.

Oversee managed care, third-party reimbursement, and accounts receivable management, including cash collections. Stay informed of changes in Federal and State reimbursement regulations.

Consistently review department budgets and implement cost containment strategies.

Manage the site's productivity, including optimizing provider scheduling templates.

Administration :

Ensure performance of Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support the financial and patient growth of the site and regions.

Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with operational practices.

Collaborate with stakeholders to establish best practice guidelines and protocols, using key metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Foster cooperative relationships with other departments, managers, physicians, vendors, and consultants to improve service flow and operations.

Prepare and analyze statistical, operational, and other reports for the Regional Medical Director, Chief Operating Officer, and leadership.

Maintain legal and accreditation compliance by updating policies concerning federal, state, and local regulations, as well as HRSA requirements.

Uphold the organization’s policies, objectives, quality improvement initiatives, and safety standards. Ensure readiness for regulatory surveys.

Oversee human resource strategies, including recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, consulting, and enforcing policies and procedures.

Operations :

Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive working environment across administrative staff, medical providers, and external customers to improve care coordination, patient satisfaction, and technology integration.

Supervise and coordinate all administrative and operational functions of site clinics, ensuring alignment with institutional, governmental, and regulatory standards.

Provide after-hours on-call coverage for clinic operations and patient care issues, including evening, weekend, and emergency management of incidents.

Regulatory :

Ensure facility readiness for regulatory surveys, including Article 28, IPRO, and HRSA FQHC audits.

Additional :

Provide cross-coverage for sites as needed.

Lead and participate in Enterprise Initiatives.

Travel between sites as required.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer.

Qualifications :

Master’s Degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in ambulatory healthcare programs as a practice administrator, in hospital administration, or as an administrator with direct operational responsibility in a healthcare setting.

At least two (2) years of experience in an administrative, managerial, or supervisory role.

A satisfactory equivalent of education, training, and / or experience may also be considered.

Minimum : bachelor’s degree and two years of responsible administrative, managerial, or supervisory experience.

Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

In-depth understanding of healthcare administration and operations.

Expertise in financial management, budgeting, and cost containment.

Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

Ability to implement and drive operational improvements.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of managed care, third-party reimbursement, and accounts receivable management. Salary : The posted range is not a guarantee. The actual salary will be based on qualifications, experience, and education and could fall outside of this range. Contact us for more information.
