Staff Accountant

Job Description

Our client, a premier academic health system, is hiring a Staff Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Accurate preparation and input of financial data into multiple general ledger system
• Ensure the timely reporting of various balance sheet, income statements and other related accounts balances and supporting schedules
• Maintain General Ledger account analysis, understand and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Analyze variances between budget and actual data and report findings. Work with various managers and directors at the sites to ensure accurate department expense reporting
• Journal Entries, account reconciliations, expense accounts, year-end closing
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 1 year of work experience
• MBA preferred but not required
