Job Description:
The Department is committed to providing high quality education services to all Florida students and requires IT services to assist the Department and Technology staff in meeting that goal.
Minimum Qualifications of Candidate:
The Department is seeking a Web Applications Programmer professional with the following minimum qualifications(these qualifications must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks):
•Bachelor of Science/Arts degree
•Minimum 6 years of experience developing Microsoft ASP.NET web applications.
•Experience with developing C# applications.
•Experience with jQuery, CSS, HTML, Bootstrap and Ajax controls
•Minimum 6 years of experience with Microsoft SQL.
•Experience with SQL SSIS, SSRS technologies.
•Experience with Azure development environment.
Gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
•Experience testing custom applications, reports, large data sets, or dashboards.
•Experience with working with development teams on large enterprise projects.
•Producing technical documentation related to requirements, specifications, traceability matrices, designs, or testing.
•Preferred experience with FLAIR (Florida Accounting Information Resource)
Deliverables/Tasks:
The Web Applications Programmer key deliverables include, but are not limited to, the following:
•Assists in developing specifications as well as, overall planning and management of projects.
•Meets with leadership to provide status reports on a weekly basis and provides monthly written reports which will include accomplishments, areas of concern, and recommended solutions.
•Communicate project progress and information to team, sponsor, stakeholders, and legislative body as appropriate.
•Ensures technical direction and standards are being followed.
•Assures that project documentation includes the project plans, budgets, risk plans, communication plans, change control logs, and reports.
•Demonstrates an understanding of tactical goals and effectively participates in the development and implementation of business solutions.
•Manages change control within the projects.
•Obtains sponsor approval for changes to scope, budget, and schedule that effect the critical path.
•Written documentation showing testing and verification of modifications to ensure that objectives are met.
